Tasting Notes and How to Use
Aroma: Candy-sweet lemon with a soft red-berry tint.
Concentration Behavior: 2 drops per 100 ml: a light pink lemonade accent. 6-8 drops: full pink lemonade character. Above 10 drops: can turn harsh and overpowering. In kombucha, iced tea, or a juice mocktail the base carries part of the flavor: 2-3 drops, no more than 5.
Best Pairings: Fruits: strawberry, raspberry, watermelon, rose, hibiscus. Spirits: vodka, prosecco, light rum, elderflower liqueur. Herbs: mint, basil, rose petals. Bases: sparkling water, ginger beer, kombucha.
Layering Partners: Use 5 drops Pink Lemonade plus 2 drops of an accent. + Hibiscus: tart floral depth. + Guava Berry: amplified berry. + Elderflower: sophisticated lemonade. Also works standalone as a sparkling pink lemonade seltzer.
Substitutes For: Pink lemonade syrup or mix flavor (2-9 drops per serving plus a sweetener); the berry-lemon note in summer punches and spritzes.
Does Not Replace: Lemon juice acidity -- add fresh lemon for tartness. Sugar and pink color -- add syrup and a natural colorant or berries separately.
When To Add: Add in the glass or pitcher. For large batches, mix the drops into a small volume of water first, then add to the pitcher for even distribution.
Use With Caution: Highly potent: stay at or below 10 drops per 100 ml in any drink; past that it can turn harsh and overpowering. The softest citrus in the lineup -- it complements rather than brightens. Choose Lemonade or Lime Wedge when you need real citrus lift.
Perfect for: county fair, birthday party, or summer camp -- and anything that calls for like pink lemonade at the county fair or fun and pink for a birthday.
