Tasting Notes and How to Use
Aroma: Ripe mango up front, then bright pineapple and tart passion fruit.
Concentration Behavior: 1 drop per 100 ml: a light mango pineapple passion accent. 3-4 drops: full mango pineapple passion character. Above 8 drops: can turn harsh and overpowering. In kombucha, iced tea, or a juice mocktail the base carries part of the flavor: 3-5 drops, no more than 5.
Best Pairings: Herbs & florals: mint, lime leaf, lemongrass. Spices: ginger, chili, cardamom. Spirits: white rum, coconut rum, blanco tequila, vodka. Sparkling bases: sparkling water, coconut water, ginger beer. Tropical bridges: coconut, hibiscus, guava.
Layering Partners: Works as a standalone tropical base. + Lime Wedge: tropical lime seltzer. + Sweet Coconut (2 drops behind 6): mai tai register. + Hibiscus (2 behind 6): tart tropical contrast. + Ginger (1 behind 6): tropical mule.
Substitutes For: Mango plus pineapple juice in cocktail builds (with water for volume); tropical simple syrup (1 part Brewch to 50 parts syrup; use the finished syrup to taste); multi-fruit tropical punch concentrate.
Does Not Replace: Acidity -- add fresh lime separately. Coconut cream in cream drinks. Sweetness and juice body.
When To Add: Add toward the end of preparation or directly in the glass. When Lime Wedge is the accent, add those drops last. For kombucha, add after fermentation.
Use With Caution: Highly potent: stay at or below 8 drops per 100 ml in any drink; past that it can turn harsh and overpowering. Choose Sweet Mango for pure mango; Passion Fruit for tartness without fruit sweetness; Guanabana for creamy soursop.
Perfect for: luau, resort pool party, or birthday punch -- and anything that calls for a party punch with tropical fruit or something that tastes like a resort.
