Tasting Notes and How to Use
Aroma: Freshly squeezed lime with bright, aromatic lime skin.
Concentration Behavior: 2 drops per 100 ml: a light lime wedge accent. 6-7 drops: full lime wedge character. Above 8 drops: can turn harsh and overpowering. In kombucha, iced tea, or a juice mocktail the base carries part of the flavor: 3-5 drops, no more than 5.
Best Pairings: Tropical: mango, coconut, pineapple, guava. Spirits: blanco tequila, white rum, vodka, gin, mezcal. Herbs: mint, cilantro, basil. Bases: sparkling water, coconut water, ginger beer.
Layering Partners: Use at 3:1 with Lime Wedge dominant. + Hibiscus: hibiscus lime seltzer. As an accent it lifts many primaries -- Cucumber, Guanabana, Jackfruit, Soursop, Sweet Coconut, Sweet Mango, Mango Pineapple Passion -- added last to the finished glass.
Substitutes For: The lime skin note in cocktails (2-8 drops in addition to fresh juice); lime simple syrup (1 part Brewch to 50 parts syrup; use the finished syrup to taste); the lime top note in tropical syrups.
Does Not Replace: Lime acid -- always add fresh lime juice separately for tartness. Sweetness -- add syrup.
When To Add: Add last, directly to the finished glass, and serve promptly -- the citrus aroma is volatile and fades faster than other Brewch extracts. In sparkling drinks, carbonation helps lift it.
Use With Caution: Highly potent: stay at or below 8 drops per 100 ml in any drink; past that it can turn harsh and overpowering. Not ideal for drinks made far ahead or long-held batches. Choose Lemonade for a stable sweet citrus base; choose Yuzu for complex Japanese citrus.
Perfect for: beach bar, taco night, or poolside -- and anything that calls for zesty lime for taco night or a bright, crushable beach drink.
